How it got started
Everest College discovered that students who were referred by other students or had friends at school consistently performed better than students who lacked a social network at school.
Students with friends on campus got better grades, had better attendance and were far less likely to drop out. These students tended to feel more comfortable with the school experience because they had peers who could explain campus operations, offer advice about programs and instructors explain how to get the most out of the campus experience.
Goals and Objectives
The goals of the Igniter Ambassador program is to make the school experience the best it can be for you and your fellow students. It's main objectives are:
To create a peer-to-peer support system on campus that encourages all Everest students to grow, mature and succeed.
To support students who want to take a more active role on campus by fostering their leadership skills.
To foster students development beyond the classroom and help them to become role models for other students.
